CHIEF EXECUTIVE & CREATIVE DIRECTOR
It all started with a book’, says Sachi Mukerji. “I’d hardly left university when someone gave me a copy of Ogilvy’s Confessions. Halfway through the book, I’d made up my mind. Advertising is where I wanted to be”. And so began Sachi’s career from a junior copywriter to an award winning Creative Director in direct marketing and mainstream advertising. His career spans 4 countries in 4 continents including India, Australia, England and Canada and a reputation for creating work that is strategically strong and based on insights that bring in measurable results. He has been a President, Senior Vice President and Managing Director of agencies
in London and Toronto, including BBDO, Grey, DMB&B, and Yellowhammer. In 2010, Sachi turned his focus to starting a multicultural agency that offered the rigorous strategic disciplines followed by mainstream agencies. “We try not to think of diversity as a niche because traditional Canada and the new Canada of today co-exist and are all part of diverse Canada. This approach gives us a bigger canvas to work with,” he says. Sachi is responsible for building one of the strongest agency teams in the multicultural category and plays a hands-on role as Monsoon’s principal founder, CEO and Creative Director.

Had it not been for a stubborn streak in Kashish Kapoor, he would probably have been an engineer by now. “That’s what my parents were hoping I would become”, he says sheepishly. “Kash” walked away from a privileged life in Mumbai after earning a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Mumbai with a major in Mass Media. He chose Advertising as his career and started out as a junior copywriter at JWT and later as an account executive at Contract Advertising Mumbai. In 2015, “Kash” moved to Toronto where he finished his post graduate education at George Brown College with a degree in Digital Marketing. He stated a new career in multicultural marketing while raising the bar on his goal to be “the best suit in the multicultural business”.
